SHABA joins the LADOSUR catalogue with a sound shaped by movement, tension and constant exploration, moving freely between hypnotic atmospheres, industrial textures and groove-driven techno.
Born in Buenos Aires and currently based in Philadelphia, SHABA is an Argentine DJ and producer whose musical path has been shaped by constant exploration across different corners of electronic music.
His journey began within bass music, with a particular focus on Drum & Bass, before gradually moving towards techno in 2020. Throughout eight years behind the decks, he has performed at several venues connected to Buenos Aires’ underground nightlife, including Requiem, El Dorado, Uniclub and Caix. Now based in the United States, he has also become a recurring guest at Fender Bender in Philadelphia.
Rather than defining himself through a single genre or sound, SHABA approaches each set as a journey through different moods and atmospheres. Hypnotic textures can evolve into more industrial territories, while groove remains the constant thread running through his selections.
This open-ended approach reflects an artist more interested in movement, tension and progression than in staying within predetermined boundaries.
